The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Nasarawa State, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his younger brother, Isaac Yakubu, who passed away in the early hours of today after a brief illness.
Family sources confirmed the sad development on Wednesday morning, describing Isaac’s death as a painful loss to both the family and the community. He was said to have battled a short illness before succumbing to the cold hand of death.
As at the time of this report, the family has not announced a burial date, with arrangements expected to be made public in the coming days.
Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, convener of the kwantaminia movement widely known for his dedication to youth development and sports promotion in Nasarawa State, has received an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, associates, and residents of the state, who described the passing of his brother as a heartbreaking tragedy.
Community members and sympathizers have continued to throng the family residence at Akwanga to console the bereaved family, while prayers are being offered for the peaceful repose of the late Isaac Yakubu.
