Gunners Crush Forest 3-0 to Claim EPL Summit

Arsenal stormed to the top of the Premier League table with a dominant 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The Gunners produced a polished display, led by Martin Zubimendi’s brace and a clinical strike from Victor Gyokeres.

Zubimendi opened the scoring in style, rifling in a stunning 25-yard effort midway through the first half. The Spanish midfielder, partnering Mikel Merino in the middle, dictated play with authority and composure. Even the early injury to skipper Martin Ødegaard—replaced by teenager Ethan Nwaneri—failed to disrupt Arsenal’s rhythm.

After the break, Arsenal upped the tempo. Gyokeres coolly finished off a flowing move, doubling the lead with his growing influence in attack on full display. Moments later, Zubimendi struck again, this time with a precise header from a corner, sealing the points and capping a man-of-the-match performance.

For Nottingham Forest, it was a harsh Premier League introduction for new boss Ange Postecoglou. His side showed flashes of energy out wide but failed to cope with Arsenal’s intensity or carve out clear chances. Defensive lapses proved costly as Forest endured a sobering afternoon in North London.

The victory lifts Arsenal to the summit of the league table, at least temporarily, as Liverpool and Chelsea are yet to play this weekend. For Mikel Arteta, the performance was a statement: Zubimendi’s dominance in midfield and Gyokeres’ sharp finishing suggest Arsenal have the depth and momentum to mount a serious title challenge.

The Emirates roared in approval—and with the Gunners hitting stride early in the campaign, fans are daring to dream of something bigger.
