President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, after concluding his annual work vacation in Europe.
The development was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday, September 15, by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties,” the statement read.
Tinubu had departed Abuja on September 4 to commence his annual holiday in Europe. According to the Presidency, the 10-day working vacation was scheduled to be split between France and the United Kingdom.
During his stay in Paris, the Nigerian leader held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. Both leaders reportedly reviewed bilateral relations and pledged to strengthen cooperation for mutual prosperity and global stability.
Onanuga emphasized that the trip formed part of the President’s 2025 annual leave schedule.
