Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has urged voters to deliver massive support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forthcoming November 8 governorship election, promising monetary incentives for wards and local governments that record the highest votes for the party.

Speaking during an APGA rally in Anambra East Local Government Area, Soludo announced that the local government with the highest number of votes for APGA would receive ₦10 million. The second and third positions would earn ₦5 million and ₦3 million respectively.

In addition, he pledged ₦1 million to every ward that secures victory for APGA, noting that similar promises made during the House of Assembly election were being fulfilled, where campaign chairpersons or mayors received ₦500,000 for each ward won.

“We are targeting to win all the polling units across the state,” Soludo declared. “As we did during the last House of Assembly election, anyone whose ward delivers victory for APGA will receive ₦1 million. For Anambra East, the top-performing local governments will get ₦5 million, ₦3 million, and ₦2 million, depending on their position.”

The governor challenged all 21 local government areas in the state to compete for the top prize, saying the overall best-performing council in Anambra would be rewarded with ₦10 million.

Soludo’s announcement underscores APGA’s aggressive push to consolidate its dominance ahead of the crucial November poll.
