Tinubu Summons Ex-Rivers Sole Administrator, EFCC Boss to Aso Rock

The immediate past Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Ibok-Ete Ibas, alongside the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, was spotted at the State House, Abuja, on Wednesday evening.

While details of their mission to the Villa remain unclear, Channels TV reports that Ibas arrived at about 5:50 pm following a summons from President Bola Tinubu.

Ibas, who assumed control of Rivers State in March after Governor Siminalayi Fubara was suspended, recently relinquished power when Tinubu lifted the six-month suspension on the governor.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State House of Assembly has resolved to investigate Ibas’s stewardship during his brief administration, further heightening interest in Wednesday’s meeting at the Villa.
